Cristina Reid
Cristina Reid is a visual artist based in Barcelona. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Syracuse University (2016), a diploma in Studio Arts from Metàfora Studio Arts Program (Barcelona, 2023), and an MFA in Artistic Production and Research from the University of Barcelona, where she recently presented her thesis at La Capella in 2025.
Her work spans video, installation, and interdisciplinary practices. She has exhibited during Loop Festival City Screen (Barcelona, 2022), Sala Equis (Madrid, 2023), 200 Cent (Barcelona, 2023), and StripArt Festival (Barcelona, 2024), where she was awarded a residency at ESFar Cultural’s Casa d’Artistes (Menorca, 2024).
Her solo exhibitions include Maintenance at Espai Souvenir as part of Art Nou Emerging Art Festival (Barcelona, 2024) and a presentation at NAVEL art space within the framework of Proyector Festival (Madrid, 2025). She has recently been selected for the 10th edition of the Program of Independent Studies (PEI) at MACBA.
Alongside her artistic practice, Cristina is a studio resident and studio coordinator at Tangent Projects. In this role, she organizes activities, events, and collaborative opportunities for artists, helping to cultivate a supportive and dynamic studio community.
