Mercè Jara Muns is a transdisciplinary artist who utilises ceramics as the central element of her practice. Many of her works and conceptual approaches stem from concepts of open source and easily accessible technologies. From this position, she experiments with formulating alternative thought structures in order to develop alternative proposals of material creation.
Mercè has shown her work in France, Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos and at events such as CERCO Zaragoza 2018, Festival de Nueva Escena Teatracciones Burgos 2019, OpenMIC 2020 (online), Recreant Ruïnes 2020 La Escocesa Barcelona and her solo exhibition at Tangent Projects gallery.
She is a resident artist at La Escocesa and a fellow within the CO-project, specifically the collaborative ceramics workshop CO-*OBRA.
Together with Bendito Chándal, Mercè also has a radio program on Dublab.es called "Lugar no donde".
