The exhibition Omul mulțime by Barcelona based artists Lolo & Sosaku, is an exhibition in two parts, taking place simultaneously at the Palace of Culture and at Borderline Art Space. Omul mulțime aims to connect both spaces and to reflect on their social scope, its inherent connotations or adapted expectations.

The title of the show hints to Ortega y Gasset’s concept of the hombre masa (mass man), through which he examines the political and social crisis of Europe and of Western civilization in general. His warning against the conformity of the masses, and their tendency to negate individual creativity and freedom, was prescient - anticipating the great and crushing mass movements of ideologies that have dominated Europe and the world for a considerable time - and is still relevant today.

There will be two opening receptions, one at 6.00pm at the Palace of Culture and the second starting at 7.00pm at Borderline Art Space. Please join us at one or both venues, as we celebrate the opening of Tangent Projects, Project 4 - Omul mulțime - Lolo y Sosaku.
